Critical services

List the services or activities that require priority recovery and note:

  • the service owner
  • the main dependencies
  • the impact of extended unavailability

Recovery expectations

For each critical area, document the intended recovery expectations, such as:

  • the maximum acceptable downtime
  • the maximum acceptable data loss
  • fallback or manual workarounds

Backup and restoration

State the baseline expectations for:

  • backup coverage
  • restoration testing
  • ownership of recovery procedures
  • evidence that backups and tests are working

Exercises

Run periodic tabletop or practical exercises for important continuity scenarios and track the resulting improvements.
